“A heart to love, and in that heart, courage to make love known.”
Shakespeare was an idiot. And a liar. And he wore stupid pants.
When I was in the sixth grade I was in love this girl, Chanelle Kukona. You couldn’t tell me she didn’t walk on butterflies with rose petal wings. Everyday she would ask me to draw her a picture of her name, shroud in some type ridiculous flower or Tibetan banana leaf. And I did it. Because I’m a chump and I was certain it would make her my wife. Because that’s how nuptualizing works in the sixth grade. About a thousand months into the school year, I’d finally gotten the courage to ask my friend to ask her friend after school if she kinda maybe like liked me. Welp, she told her friend to tell my friend to tell me that she didn’t like me because I was too immature.
WHAT!?!?!!
Anyhow. Revenge is a cheesecake buffet. Since that time, I’ve gone on to illustrate children’s books, direct major art projects for the city, have my work incorporated into school curriculums, speak on major event panels and travel to different areas to speak to children about my adventures in art. I’ve been fortunate enough to fully curate a living off being immature.
Take that Chanelle! I hope your new boyfriend works at Applebees for the rest of his life!
I’ve found a unique intersection between youth development and being a working artist. I have well over ten years in the field ( doing everything from trauma counselling to teaching middle - high school art). In that time, I’ve grown a lot as an artist. Not just as a lovedummmy bozo who can draw names on trapper keepers, but as somebody who’s been able to turn a childhood passion into a successful career. With “DO ART!”, I want to pass on that experience to younger artist who hope to do the same.
I’ll be offering Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Packages; ranging from $60 to $200. Each package is unique in what it offers. Starting with teaching basic fundamentals; graduating up to having opportunities to selling their work through a coaching and development program.

Peace out, nerds!
