Looking For Artists!

For the last two months or so, I (along with a team of two others) have been fighting City Council to erect an art installation that would stand in support of its citizens of color. The process was the opposite of dope. The process was a butt splinter. One big a**, racist butt splinter. Either way, here we are. Victorious! Mostly. Two steps forward and one step back is still one step forward. I learned that from Paula Abdul and a cartoon cat. They hella smart. Anyway, Shower us in winner stuff!

My team and I have decided to act under the name, “Eighteen Forward.” To mark the day the proposal was passed, as well as make a promise to continue pushing the undeniable message that BLACK LIVES MATTER!

I’m insanely fortunate to be the Art Director for this project. One time, in middle school, I was allowed to be the lunch line leader. This is like, almost five times doper than that!

I’m currently seeking out a number of other artists who share the same vision to bring their talents on board. Below is a link that will take you to an application to collaborate.

Honestly, I don’t have the words. This will be the biggest and probably most important art jammy I’ve ever been a part of. Join me, won’t you? Ya ding dongs!
